I’m the editor-in-chief of Previously, I was a senior editor at Talking Points Memo and served on the adjunct faculty at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

My writing has been published in several other newspapers, magazines and websites, including the San Francisco Chronicle,,, Columbia Journalism Review, the Far Eastern Economic Review, the New York Post and The Forward.

I used to live in New Delhi, where I worked as a magazine editor and freelance foreign correspondent. I studied psychology and political science as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, and journalism as a grad student at Columbia.

I live in New Jersey with my wife — the journalist Aliyah Frumin — and our beloved dog Monster.
